PRESENCIA DEL GÉNERO PSEUDOKAINELLA (TRILOBITA, REMOPLEURIDACEA) EN EL CÁMBRICO-ORDOVÍCICO DE LA SIERRA DE LA CANDELARIA, SALTA, ARGENTINA
Abstract
The southernmost Cambrian-Ordovician fossiliferous outcrop of Argentinian Subandean Ranges is located in quebrada de Orcomato (La Candelaria range, Salta) consisting of shales and siltstones assigned to the Mojotoro Formation (Orcomato Member). A brief description of this section is presented and a specimen assigned to Pseudokainella sp. (Trilobita, Remopleuridacea) is reponed. The fossil shows remarkable affinities to other uppermost Cambrian and Tremadocian congeneric species of northwestern Argentina.Downloads
