LA FLORA LIASICA DE C. MESCHIO, PROVINCIA DE CHUBUT, PATAGONIA
Abstract
In the present paper a small collection of fossil plants from C. Meschio, Chubut Province, Patagonia, is described. The flora includes the following taxa: Goeppertella mac1'0loba n. sp., Sphenopteris sp., Ptilophyllum cutchense Morris, Sagenopteris cf. rhoifolia. Presl, Pagiophyllum sp., and Desmiophyllum sp. Although the exact position of the plant bed is not known, it is overlain by the "Estratos del Cerro Carnerero" of Bajocian age. As the genus Goeppertella is lmown only from the Rhaeto-Liassic elsewhere, it is probable that the plants described here are of Liassic age.Downloads
