Abstract

The author describes, from Maestrichtian Flora of Cerro Guido, Podocarpus inopinatus Florin, Acmopyle antarctica Fiorin, Pseudoaraucaria valentini (Kurtz ex Hünicken) nov. comb. and also a laterally winged seed and a parallel-veined leaf both similar to those of Agathis. Podocarpus inopinatus was described by Kurtz in 1899 as Sequioa brevifolia Heer and the cone-scale Pseudoaraucaria valentini as Abietites valentini. The new generic position is discussed.
