LOS MAMIFEROS FOSILES DEL CUATERNARIO DE ARROYO TOROPI, CORRIENTES (ARGENTINA)
Abstract
"In the present paper some historical, geological and sedimentological data of the Yupoi Formation (Middle to Upper Pleistocene) from the province of Corrientes, Argentina, are given. A list and a description of the fossil vertebrate fauna found at Arroyo Toropí is included. These are mammals, mostly classified to generic level, which have been compared with more sourhern 'pampean faunas"". The possibility of separating the two admitted members of the Formation giving them higher rank is strongly enhanced by the associations of the two main fossiliferous levels. They should correspond to the Ensenadense and Lujanense ages of the South American scale."Downloads
