UN NUEVO CARIAMIDO (AVES, GRUIFORMES) DEL PLIOCENO SUPERIOR DE LA PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AIRES
Abstract
A new species of Seriema, Chunga incerta, found in sediments of the Upper Pliocene (Montehermosean Age ) of SSE of Buenos Aires province is here described. It is based on a fragmentary tibiotarsus and a fragmentary tarsometatarsus. The present record indicates a more southern and eastern distribution of the genus Chunga in Upper Pliocene times and probably differents ecological conditions in that area.Downloads
