Abstract

Austroneilsonia, with A. argentina sp. nov. as type species, is a new genus of Pleurotomariacea closely related to Neilsonia Thomas from which it differs mainly in the absence of subsutural noding. Only one other species, Austroneilsonia sp. is described and figured. Austroneilsonia occurs in western and southern Argentina and may be referred to the Upper Carboniferous-Lower Permian.
