Several specimens of the genus Lepidodendropsis Lutz are described, al! of them belonging to L. sekondiensis Mensah et Chaloner. They are from Sierra de Maz, La Rioja Province and they occur in strata of the Guandacol Formation .. It is concluded that the bearing sediments are of a lower Carboniferous (Visean-Lower Namurian) age. Also the presence of Lepidodendropsis is cited for the first time in several localities of Argentina.Downloads
