Abstract

L'AGE DE LA FORMATION LOWER KOTlCK POINT DANS L'iLE JAMES Ross, ANTARTlQUE. - La faune de la Formation Lower Kotick Point (Rotularia callosa Stoliczka, Aucellina radiatostriata Bonarelli, Sphaera? striata Richter, Aporrhaidae gen. y sp. indet.?, Caudryceratinae gen. y sp. indet:., Silesites desmoceratoides Stolley, Acanthohoplites sp., Belemnopsis. sp. y Ptilophyllum sp.) marque une áge aptiene. La présence d'une discordance dans le toit de cette formation oblige a le séparer du Groupe Marambio que contient les Formations Sobral, López de Bertodano, Hidden Lake, Stoneley Point et posiblement Upper Kotick Point.
