UNA NUEVA SUBESPECIE DE TRIGONIA CARINATA AG. (BIVALVIA) DEL CRETÁCICO INFERIOR DE NEUQUÉN, ARGENTINA
Abstract
A NEW SUBSPECIES OF Trigonia carinata AG. (BIVALVIA) FROM THE LOWER CRETACEOUS OF NEUQUÉN, ARGENTINA. - T. carinata aliexpandita n. ssp. is described in this paper. The specimens were found in Hauterivian sediments of the Agrio Formation (Mendoza Group) in the Cerro Mesa area, south of Covuncó creek, Neuquén province, Argentina. The new subspecies is easily recognized by its highly expanded escutcheon.Downloads
