PALINOLOGIA DE LA FORMACION TUPE (PALEOZOICO SUPERIOR), SIERRA DE MAZ, PROVINCIA DE LA RIOJ A. PARTE III. ANALISIS CUANTITATIVO y CONCLUSIONES PALEOECOLOGICAS
Abstract
A cuantitative analysis of 18 palynological samples from the Tupe Formation at the localíties of mine La Victoria and mine La Negra is presented. Quantitative analysis of genera as well as groups of forms was carríed out through the counting of 300 specimens per sample. Observed variations on the occurrence of the forms along the stratigraphic profile are díscussed. The study of the pollen diagrams suggests the existence of a paleocomunity that evolved wíthout great changes in its composition. The gymnosperms are aloctonous elements in deposits originated by short flood stages. Lycophytes, Calamitales ancl Pteridosperrns grew principally in swamp zones. An autoctonous-hipautoctonous origin is suggested for the coal.Downloads
