BRAQUIOPODOS CLITAMBONITACEOS DE LA FORMACION SAN JUAN (ORDOVICICO TEMPRANO), PRECORDILLERA ARGENTINA
Abstract
New species of the genera Tritoechia and Pomatotrema are described and illustrated. The specimens assigned to Tritoechia azulensis n. sp. were collected in the Huaco-Cerro Viejo and Sierra de Villicum regíons, and the associated fauna indicate a Late Arenigian to Early Llanvirnian age. The specimens of Tritoechia inaequicostata n. sp. and Pomatotrema talacastoensis n. sp. occur only in the Talacasto región (Early Llanvirnian?). Pomatotrema mesocosta n. sp. was collected in the uppermost levels of the San Juan Formation, in the Cerro Viejo area, of Early Llanvirnian age.Downloads
