Abstract

Se describe parte del microplancton de acritarcos (subgrupos: Herkomorphitae, Netromorphitae y Polygonomorphitae), hallado en la Formación Los Espejos, en las proximidades del límite Silúrico-DevÓnico, en el valle del Río Jáchal. Los subgrupos mejor representados son: Sphaeromorphitae, con predomonio absoluto del género Leiosphaeridia, y Polygonomorphitae, con gran cantidad de representantes del género Veryhachium. Siguen en orden de importancia los Acanthomorphitae, Netromorphitae y por último los Pteromorphitae, Herkomorphitae, Prismatomorphitae y acritarcos de ubicación incierta. Se asigna a los palinomorfos una probable edad ludloviana temprana a media y se los compara con otros de edad similar de la región y del mundo. Se analizan los resultados obtenidos y se efectúan algunas consideraciones preliminares.
