Abstract

The fossil vertebrate fauna from the Sauce Grande valley is presented. It provides paleoenvironmental information which suggests four different habitats (arid to semiarid steppes, open woodland, riparian and lotic). The braided model inferred by the geological evidences provides an addecuate setting for these habitats. These deposits are assigned to the Late Pleistocene.
