CRANIAL OSTEOLOGY OF AMARGASAURUS CAZAUI SALGADO & BONAPARTE (SAUROPODA, DICRAEOSAURIDAE) FROM THE NEOCOMIAN OF PATAGONIA
Abstract
Se describe la anatomía craneana del Dicraeosaurido Amargasaurus cazauiui. El cráneo de Amargasaurus cazaui es semejante al de Dicraesaurus hansemanni. Se confirma la presencia de fontanelas parietales y postparietales en el techo craneano de los dicraesarauridos. La evidencia muestra que los dicraeosauridos tenían un cráneo más derivado que el de los Apatosaurus, Nemegtosaurus y Quaesitosaurus se excluyen de los Dicraeosauridae porque ellos no comparten probables rasgos derivados con Dicraeosaurus y Amargasaurus.Downloads
