MICROMOLUSCOS (GASTROPODA Y BIVALVIA) DEL HOLOCENO DEL AREA DE BAHIA BLANCA, ARGENTINA
Abstract
Sixteen micromolluscan species (Gastropoda and Bivalvia) sarnpled from the Holocene shelly sand beach-ridges of Bahía Blanca (southeastem Buenos Aires Province, Argentina) are discussed and illustrated. Five of these species, Cochliolepis surensis, Teinostoma maldonadense, Caecum antillarum, Cerithiopsis greeni (Gastropoda) and Crassinella lunulata (Bivalvia), have not as yet been found within the living fauna of the adjacent coast. While Turritellopsis marplatensis, Cerithiopsilla burdwoodiana, Cerithiopsis greeni, Balcis solitaria. Iselica anomala and Crass inella lunulata are recorded as fossils for the first time.Downloads
