BRAQUIÓPODOS (PRODUCTO IDEA) DEL PÉRMICO DE LA CUENCA TEPUEL-GENOA, CHUBUT, ARGENTINA
Abstract
Amosia sueroi gen. et sp. nov. and Tuberculatella laevicaudata (Amos) are described based on material eolleeted in the Tepuel-Genoa basin, Chubut, Argentina. The material asigned to Amosia sueroi had been previously included in Productella Hall, a Devonian genus, but its morphologieal features warrant its inclusion in a new genus. This agrees with the faet that the rest of the assoeiated fauna is Permian rather than Devonian. Tuberculatella laevicaudata had been previously assigned to the genera Geniculifera and Bulahdelia. The presenee of this Eurasian genus in the fauna suggests a relationship with Tethyan faunas of similar age.Downloads
