PRIMER REGISTRO DE PALINOMORFOS SILÚRICOS EN LA FORMACIÓN LA HORQUETA, BLOQUE DE SAN RAFAEL, PROVINCIA DE MENDOZA, ARGENTINA
Abstract
This paper presents the first record of palynomorphs (acritarchs) from the La Horqueta Formation, Bloque de San Rafael, Mendoza Province, Argentina. The stratigraphical range of identified species indicates a Silurian age to the studied palynoflora. Palaeontological data suggest the existence of an eventual graded transition from metamorphic into sedimentary rocks in the ex "La Horqueta Serie" from Ordovician or pre-Ordovician times ro the Devonian.Downloads
