Abstract

The microfossil slide containing the paratypes of Novocythere santacruziana Rossi de García, supposedly deposited in the Micropalaeontology Laboratory of the Argentinian Museum of Natural Sciences "Bernardino Rivadavia" in Buenos Aires, was found among the collections of the Micropalaeontological Section of the Argentinian Geological Survey in Buenos Aires. This slide proved to contain specimens belonging to three generically distinct taxa: Novocythere Rossi de García, Exposterocythere WhatIey el al. and Bertelsiana Rossi de García and Proserpio.
