GRAPTOLITOS DEL ARENIGIANO TARDÍO - LLANVIRNIANO DE LA FORMACIÓN SIERRA DE LA INVERNADA, PRECORDILLERA OCCIDENTAL SANJUANINA, ARGENTINA. PARTE 1
Abstract
Graptolites from the Sierra de La Invernada Formation in the western tectofacies of the Precordillera of San Juan are analyzed. The diversified graptolite faunas belong to the Paraglossograptus tentaculatus Zone. The species discussed in this contribution which are part of a more complete association include: dendroid gen et sp. indet., Ptilograptus geinitzianus Hall, P. cf. delicatulus Ruedemann, Pseudophyllograptus sp., Tetragraptus bigsbyi (Hall), T quadribrachiatus (Hall), T reclinatus toernquisti Monsen, T. sp. A, T. sp. B, Etagraptus cf. harti (T.S Hall) and Paraglossograptus tentaculatus (Hall). The association suggests an Upper Arenigian-Lower Llanvirnian age (Da l- Da3 of the Australian sequence).Downloads
